Alexis Chacon, MSc, BSc(H)

Medical Associate

Alexis (2)-1

Passionate, dependable

Alexis’ role includes creating scientifically accurate medical content and effectively communicating complex scientific information to a broad range of audiences within the healthcare industry. Her work includes research articles, educational learning materials, regulatory documents, patient-facing information and more. She is dedicated to delivering reliable scientific content in an engaging and accessible way.

Alexis graduated from McMaster University, completing a BSc(H) in Molecular Biology and Genetics and an MSc in Medical Sciences. Her master’s research was in immunology and infectious diseases, where she tested a novel TB adenoviral vaccine in humanized mice that were co-infected with HIV and TB. While she enjoyed doing her thesis, she realized her true passion lies with science communication and medical education. After graduation, she spent 5 months backpacking around Southeast Asia and outside of work, she loves to read, hike, geocache, do escape rooms, bake, and hang out with her dog Kahlua!
